About Us
This Web site is sponsored by the Poker Players Alliance to share the stories of average Americans, such as you, who enjoy playing the great American pastime of poker. It is a game of skill that has been enjoyed by presidents, generals, Supreme Court Justices, Members of Congress and average Americans for more than 150 years.
This site was created to tell the stories of average Americans – like you – who enjoy the game of poker.
Your policeman. Your dentist. Your lawyer. Your plumber.

Poker Is Not a Crime - It's A Game of Skill
Poker is a game with a predominance of skill. Like chess, poker is a “thinking man’s” game that relies on mathematics, psychology and money management. Unlike “house banked” games of chance, such as blackjack or sports betting, poker relies on the skill level of individual adults who are competing against each other.
Playing around a kitchen table or in cyberspace, the same talents and skills required to win at poker hold true. Observing betting patterns and watching when players fold are just as critical when playing poker over the Internet as when playing in person.
Some policymakers at the federal and state levels want to make poker a crime.
The Poker Players Alliance is leading the charge to show the world that Poker is not a crime – and to protect your poker rights.
